Who is right, the App Store or AppMiner?

The App Store is ALWAYS correct.

How often is AppMiner app data updated?

The AppMiner mole is a busy mole. He is constantly mining the store searching for new and price reduced apps.

How does an app make it to the New screen and how long does it stay there?

An app being released for the first time that has not been in the store before is included in this screen. New releases of existing apps are not included in this screen. Apps stay on the New screen for 5 days.

How does an app make it to the Sale screen and how long does it stat there?

An app that has dropped in price since that last time AppMiner mined the App Store is included in this screen Apps that are on Sale stay on the Sale screen for 5 days if the price does not change. If the price goes up the app is removed from this screen. If the app drops in price the app stays on the screen for 5 days starting from the most recent price drop.

How does an app make it to the Top screen?

This screen is driven by the App Store "top" data for paid and free applications. If the app is in the "top" paid or free list in the app store it appears in this screen.

How are apps sorted and filtered when I click a category and an app list is displayed?

By default paid applications are displayed in lists sorted by "Top Paid" ordering in the App Store. Clicking the "Free" button filters the app to only free apps and sorts them by "Top Free" ordering in the App Store. Clicking the "Released Date" button removes any price filter and orders apps by their release date.

What is the watch screen and what do the different icons mean?

The watch screen lists apps you have set price targets for. The green and white bulls-eye means the price of an app has dropped to or below your price target set for that app. The green arrow means the price of an app has dropped below the original price of the app when you set a price target. The red arrow means the price of an app has risen since the you set a price target. The gray - means the app has not changed in price.

How do I set a price target for an app?

In the app details screen there is a control called "Target Price" below the current app price. Clicking that control displays a price selector. Just select the price you want to pay for the app then click done. AppMiner now tracks the app for you and notifies you when any of you targeted apps move in price.

How do I know if any of my targeted apps change in price?

A red badge on the top right corner of the watch tab displays the number of targeted apps that have moved in price. This number included apps that have moved up or down in price.
